Lot 5 John Quincy Adams

Partly-printed DS as president, signed “J. Q. Adams,” one page, 15.25 x 9.5, June 1, 1825. President Adams grants Griffa Davis 80 acres of land in Indiana. Signed at the conclusion by Adams and countersigned by Commissioner of the General Land Office George Graham. In good condition, with scattered paper loss along intersecting folds, scattered toning and foxing, a few wrinkles and creases, and some handwritten portions of the document a couple shades light, but still legible. The seal is creased, worn, and toned. Adams’s signature is crisp and mostly unaffected by the flaws.
